Following a significant period of collaboration between two small primary schools in South Cheshire, it was decided to cement the partnership further. After considerable research about federations and Multi-Academy Trusts, the Governors of both Acton CE Primary School and Calveley Primary School made the positive decision to progress into a Multi-Academy Trust and opened formally as the Real Life Learning Academy Trust from 1st September 2016. The name "Real Life Learning" stems purely from the passion to craft a curriculum that provides children with the range of skills, knowledge and wisdom to prepare for the real life experiences they will face in society as they mature.
As the first Executive Headteacher of RLLAT, I am in the privileged position to help shape and embed the vision of the MAT in the first few years of its inception. No school is the same and one element that we hold dear within our Trust is that we protect the individuality of each academy that joins us. It is our experience that not one size fits all!
The Board of RLLAT is determined to establish a high performing multi academy trust that delivers the very best educational experience for the pupils it serves. The strategic plan that follows is clear in its pathway of developing a Trust that is a cost effective organisation that delivers efficiency and effectiveness whilst maintaining its absolute priority, to give the children the very best education. Children get one chance and every day is vital!
We are all very excited about the next few years ahead as we develop and grow the Trust and I look forward to working with all of our stakeholders in the future.
